what we are doing

Days 1-5


We start out trip by heading to Stellenbosch for a 5-night stay at 5 Night stay at Devonvale Golf Estate, where we will golf three of the top 100 courses in South Africa. This portion of the trip includes:

  • One round of golf at De Zalze Golf Course
  • One round of golf at Arabella Golf Course
  • One round of golf at Pearl Valley Golf Course
  • One-bedroom suite with king bed
  • Daily breakfast

Days 5-10


After our stay in Stellenbosch, we head to the Pezula Hotel in Knysna for another 5 nights stay, and three days of golfing South Africa's top courses.  Included in this portion of the trip is:

  • One round of golf at Pezula Golf Course
  • One round of golf at Simola Golf Course
  • One round of golf at Goose Golf Course
  • Standard suite with king bed
  • Daily breakfast
  • One spa voucher to the value of R1200
  • Two dinner vouchers to the value of R250 each

Days 10-12


These last two days are optional.  We will make our way back to Cape Town, relaxing, and stopping in at a few locations for you to secure a few more special memories of your time in South Africa!

This is a rough guide to the 12 days. We will adapt the week carefully for each individual and the prevailing weather. All activities are planned with safety as the paramount concern. We will try our best to stick to the itinerary, however, should weather conditions dictate, we may need to move certain days and activities around.


How much golf will we play in total?

The base package includes SIX 18-hole rounds of golf at six of the "Top 100" courses in South Africa. For those that wish, there is opportunity to add on a seventh and eighth day of golf within the original 10-day package, and also an opportunity to add on an extra two days to make a 12-day package.

With this tour you will get:

  • Pick up and drop off to and from the Cape Town Airport (upon arrival and departure)
  • Six 18-hole rounds of golf
  • Daily Breakfast
  • 9 nights accommodations
  • One spa voucher to the value of R1200

What's NOT included in the package / price?

The following things are not included in the price of the package:

  • Travel to and from your home to Cape Town
  • Travel insurance (highly recommended)
  • Additional rounds of golf and tours (can be arranged during booking process)
  • Tips & gratuities
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Most lunches and dinners

How do I get to Capetown?

Flights to Cape Town International Airport, CPT are widely available from most international destinations.

As players come from all over the world, and join our tours, we don’t currently offer flights as part of our tour package. We do however want to do as much as we can to ensure that our guests get the best deals when travelling so check out the following websites:

Money, extra expenses, and tipping

The local currency in South Africa is the Rand, ZAR. ATMs are widely available in Cape Town, please note that the ATMs only dispense cash in the local currency, Rand, and the Rand is the only currency excepted.

All major bank/credit cards are accepted at the local ATMs and at all restaurants and shops. It is advised to have small denominations, R10, R20, R50 for tipping.

You can purchase ZAR currency from your local bank before your trip. You should bring extra money with you to cover such items as extra meals, drinks, souvenirs, etc.

The guides can advise on local norms for service providers and waiters.

Passports and Visas

Non-residents of South Africa require a full passport to enter the country, which should be valid for at least six months beyond the expected length of stay. Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages when you present it at immigration to enter or leave South Africa.

If visiting South Africa for tourism purposes for a period of less than 90 days, you don’t need a visa. We strongly recommend, however, that you check visa requirements prior to travel as requirements are subject to change. For more information on visas contact the South African High Commission or the South African Department of Home Affairs.


You should check prior to travel whether you need a yellow fever certificate by visiting the National Travel Health Network and Centre’s TravelHealthPro website.

Travel and Medical Insurance

We consider comprehensive travel insurance to be essential, and we strongly recommend that you purchase insurance which includes, but is not limited to, cover for illness, accident, emergency repatriation, ambulance, air ambulance, helicopter rescue services, cancellation, lost luggage and delays. Please read your policy details carefully and remember to take them with you on your trip for your own reference.

As a valued TWO OCEANS guest, you are required to have in place travel/medical insurance that covers you for all activities you will be taking part in during your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully covered for these activities.

Whatever travel policy you decide on, you will need to bring a copy of your current Certificate of Insurance to the welcome briefing at the start of your holiday. Your guides will need to take a note of your insurer, policy number and the number to call in case of an emergency claim.

Travel Plugs and Electricity

When you are going on a trip to South Africa, it is important to pack the appropriate travel adapter that fits the local sockets. The type N socket and plug are the official standard in South Africa. Type C plugs are also official, but not type C sockets.
